Bison down Leopards in regular season finale

Recap
The Nichols College men's ice hockey team defeated Wentworth 5-2 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey action at Allied Veterans Rink.

The Bison (11-11-3, 9-6-2 CCC) opened up a two-goal advantage after one period of play with goals from senior Ben Campbell and junior Nicholas Mangone. Campbell opened the scoring just 2:09 into the first T.J. Roche and junior Hogan Davidson. Ten minutes later Mangone made it a 2-0 game after potting his first of two goals with assists from sophomore Nate Foster and junior David Chevrier.

The Leopards (8-13-4, 6-10-1 CCC) cut the Bison's lead in half with a quick goal at the 2:43 mark in the second period with a goal from Paul Flippone, III, with helpers from Ethan Weiss and Tyler Lapshanski. Nichols would kill the momentum that Wentworth built by answering back with a power-play goal from junior Vincent Crivello and a short-handed goal from Foster. Junior J.B. Baker and senior Matthew Menta both picked up assists on the power-play goal, while senior Daniele Iasenza had the helper on Foster's second goal of the game.

Wentworth scored quickly again in the third period before the Bison made it a 5-2 game with a goal from Mangone in the last minute of play to give the Bison the victory.
