Jay Knurowski stopped all 28 shots he faced in his first collegiate start to backstop the Nichols College men's ice hockey team to a 4-0 win over Franklin Pierce Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's ice hockey action at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena.

Justin Perron also found the back of the net. Nichols (1-9-0) scored three goals in the opening 12:29 of the contest, and Perron's second goal of the season 1:57 into the third capped the scoring.

Three things you need to know...
            -Today's contest marked the 20th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Franklin Pierce University. The Bison have won the last seven meetings and now lead the series, 18-1-1.
            -Nichols finished the contest 1-for-3 with the extra man and killed off both Franklin Pierce PP opportunities.
