Knurowski, Bison blank Ravens

Senior netminder Jay Knurowski stopped all 28 shots he faced in his first collegiate start to backstop the Nichols College men's ice hockey team to a 4-0 win over Franklin Pierce Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's ice hockey action at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena.
 
Senior captain Vincent Crivello potted two goals and assisted on another while junior Filip Virgili and sophomore Justin Perron also found the back of the net. Nichols (1-9-0) scored three goals in the opening 12:29 of the contest, and Perron's second goal of the season 1:57 into the third capped the scoring.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Today's contest marked the 20th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Franklin Pierce University. The Bison have won the last seven meetings and now lead the series, 18-1-1.
            -Nichols finished the contest 1-for-3 with the extra man and killed off both Franklin Pierce PP opportunities.
            -Graduate student J.B. Baker has 10 points in 10 games this season (3-7-10), and 97 points in 85 career games (38-59-97).
