Quote
"Wow….that was a match for the ages. Words don't do justice to the grit displayed by both teams. I am so proud of these ladies for their effort today. We got out to a great start in doubles Izzy and Amie taking the breaker was huge. Then, Meg and Rachel closing out the second point proved to be crucial. Lindsay and Kara played well, but just came up short in the end. Singles was wild to say the least. Overall we played well, but they pushed us to the brink. Juli Herrera came up clutch against a tough opponent to get us the third point. She really worked hard to prepare for this one and it showed. Amie once again was phenomenal in bringing home point number 4. Izzy and Meg both came up short to bring it back to 4-3, and then Kara and Rachel both went into third sets. It was stressful but they hung tough. Rachel was on fire in the third, and had her match in hand if it had gone the distance, but the story of the day is Kara's comeback. She was down 0-3 in the third, but started to hit her stride unleashing some phenomenal shots. The mental toughness was remarkable and closing it out that way was fitting for just how tough this team is. Today was special for this group of seniors. They are such a great group and we are so lucky to have them. To go undefeated in the CCC for four full years is a true accomplishment, and they all truly played a role. Today is  the icing on the cake, and  a day that I will remember forever and I could not be more proud." -Nichols head coach Paul Brower
