The Nichols College women's basketball team lost to Curry College 58-44 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at the Nichols Athletics Center in Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Colonels (10-7, 7-2 CCC) were led by senior Emily Irwin, who filled the stat sheet with 13 points (3-of-15 FG), nine steals, four assists, and seven rebounds. Freshman Peyton Perine poured in a game-high 17 points (7-of-19 FG) along with seven boards. A third member of the Colonels recorded double digits herself as senior Molly Plunkett dropped in 12 points (3-of-6 FG) to go along with seven rebounds.
The Bison (3-15, 1-8 CCC) were led by senior
Rebecca Cleary, who recorded five rebounds and tied a season high with 12 points (6-of-10 FG). Sophomore
Melody Millett and senior
Mekaela Fithian-Giantonio both notched a game-high eight rebounds. Fithian-Giantonio also scored nine points, which was second on the Bison.

            -Cleary's other 12 point game was against UNE on January 12.
            -The Bison and the Colonels both had 43 rebounds.
            -Irwin has now recorded nine steals in back-to-back games.
