Brett Epp turned aside a career-high 39 shots for the Bison (8-7-1), who were accessed 10 penalties for a total of 55 minutes.
Senior Matt Lippa notched a goal and an assist for the Valiants (8-5-2) while classmate Bryan Platt dished out a pair of assists. Junior Kenny McLean's goal 2:42 into the second period proved to be the game-winner.
