The Nichols College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Western New England Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action in Springfield, Mass.
 
Freshman Regan Richard collected a team-high six digs for the Bison (4-9, 0-3 CCC) while senior Zoe Chevrette picked up seven assists and five digs. The Golden Bears won games one and two by identical 25-8 scores before earning a 25-7 win in game three to close out the match.
 
Western New England (5-9, 3-0 CCC) posted a .351 hitting pct. and was led by junior Ashley Matthews seven kills.
 
Three things you need to know...
                -Junior Megan Gardner led the Bison with four kills and also registered a service ace.
                -The Golden Bears recorded 23 service aces, highlighted by eight from senior Jenna Ferguson.
                -Freshman Shannon Anthony and Jayleen Fegan notched two kills apiece.
