POMFRET CENTER, Conn. – The Nichols College women's tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 7-2 victory over Emerson College on Friday night at the Pomfret School.
The Bison improve to 19-2 overall while the Lions drop to 6-13. After winning the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship in the fall, the Bison now await word on their NCAA Tournament opponent.

Lindsey Kaplan opened doubles play with an 8-1 win over sophomore Sabrina Jacobs and freshman Meredith Stisser at No. 2 doubles. Sophomores

Isabelle Leonardi followed with an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles over sophomores Alisha Parikh and Rachel Scalera.
The Lions grabbed their first point of the day at No. 3 doubles as freshman Cassia Burns and Jolin Cheng picked up an 8-6 win over seniors

Nichols cruised in singles play as sophomore
Rachel McDonald defeated Sarah Skeeles 8-2 at No. 6 singles followed by an 8-4 win by Judd over Jacobs at No. 2 singles. Settiwongse wrapped up the match with an 8-2 win at No. 1 singles over Parikh. Sophomore
Megan Nathanson added an 8-1 win over Scalera, while freshman
Juliana Herrera wrapped up the night with an 8-2 win over Cheng.
Emerson's final point of the day came at No. 5 singles as Stisser defeated sophomore
Danielle Mandel, 8-2.
