Kirsten Sullivan scored third-period goals as the Nichols College women's ice hockey team rallied from a third-period deficit to defeat Salem State University 2-1 in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action Friday afternoon at Levy Rink.

Abby Bassett recorded 16 saves to improve to 5-0-0 on the season and push the Bison over the .500 mark at 10-9-1 (4-5-0 CHC). Junior

Mel McAleer collected assists for NC, which currently sits in the fourth and final playoff position in the CHC with three regular season games remaining.
The Vikings (4-14-2, 0-7-1 CHC) broke a scoreless tie late in the second period when sophomore Kylie Currier potted her seventh of the season at 19:34. The Bison tied the game just 39 seconds into the third period when Christie stole the puck from a Salem State defender at the blue line, walked and wristed a shot past freshman goalie Isabelle Woodward.
Less than a minute later, Ferreira drove the net and saw her shot stopped, but Sullivan pounced on the rebound and chipped the puck past Woodward. The Bison survived a 5-on-3 penalty kill for all but a few seconds of the final 1:15 of the contest to secure the win.
Nichols held a 34-17 edge in shots. Bassett recorded 16 saves while Woodward turned aside 32.
