MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Nichols College women's ice hockey team was defeated by Morrisville State 4-0 Friday evening in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action at Morrisville State IcePlex.
 
The Mustangs (14-7-3, 9-0-2 CHC) outshot the Bison 36-17 and killed off all four Bison power-play chances. They struck for a pair of goals in the first before adding one midway through the second and an empty-netter with 44 seconds remaining in the third to seal the win.
 
Freshman netminder Abby Bassett was tagged with her first collegiate loss, surrendering three goals on 20 shots before being replaced by junior Cassandra Goyette in the second. Goyette was credited with 15 saves.
 
All-Time Series
This afternoon's contest marked the third all-time meeting between Nichols College and Morrisville State. The Mustangs now lead the series, 3-0-0.
