Colin Brennan turned aside 28 shots in Nichols College's 2-0 loss to Salve Regina University Sunday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey action at Portsmouth Abbey Rink.
The game remained scoreless late into the third period before Tim Sweeney scored an unassisted goal with 3:19 remaining in regulation. John McLean added an empty-net goal with 1:12 remaining to seal the win for the Seahawks (19-4-2, 14-2-2 CCC).
The Bison (14-8-3, 9-6-3 CCC) earned the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament and will head to No. 4 Curry on Saturday, February 17 for a 4:50 p.m. contest.

Today's contest marks the 38th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Salve Regina University. The Bison now lead the series 20-14-4, and are 4-3-3 in the last 10 outings with the Seahawks.
