Late goal pushes the Lions past the Bison

Recap
The Nichols College women's soccer program lost to Eastern Nazarene 2-1 Wednesday night in non-conference action at Vendetti Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.

The Lions (4-6-0) and Bison (3-7-1) kept each other in check throughout the first half. It was in the 60th minute when sophomore Sam Bernardi fired home her 11th goal of the season with an assist from classmate Kyndall Fry to open up the scoring and put the Lions on top.

Twelve minutes later, the Bison were able to get on the board when junior Nicole Gidley collected a corner kick from senior Kaylin Goncalves and put it past the Lions freshman goaltender. With just under five minutes to go in regulation, the Lions pulled ahead when freshman Macie Harlan took a shot from 25 yards out that found the back right corner of the net.

Three things you need to know…
