Game Recap: Field Hockey |

Bison find their offensive game, double-up Rams

Recap
Freshman Mackenzie Snow produced the second two-goal game of her collegiate career in Nichols College's 6-3 win at Framingham State University in non-conference field hockey action Monday afternoon.

Sophomore Lizz McKinnon added a goal and an assist as the Bison (8-8) have won three of their last five games. Senior Erin Jillson and freshman Sam Ahaesy also scored for NC while sophomore Hannah Seigel made three saves to collect her first collegiate win.

Nichols held a 19-10 edge in shots and an 11-8 edge in penalty corners.

Three things you need to know...
-Eight different student-athletes registered at least one point for Nichols, including juniors Erin Kelley and Leundra Marsh, and sophomores Carlee Tolley, Liza Phillips, and Macayla Belt, who each picked up one assist.
-Seigel becomes the first goalie other than Brooke Misbach to record a win for the Bison since Ariana Beauregard against Mount Ida on September 3, 2015.
-Today's contest marked the 18th all-time meeting between the two schools. Nichols has won the past seven contests and is 8-0-1 in the last nine against the Rams, dating back to 1990.

Quote
"It was good to break through on offense and start scoring goals again. We played as one unit and we need to bring that into Wednesday night's conference game." –Nichols head coach Jenn Townsend
