The Nichols College women's volleyball team was defeated by Curry College 3-1 and St. Joseph (CT) 3-1 Saturday afternoon in Milton, Mass.

Freshman
Jayleen Fegan picked up 25 digs to go along with 13 kills and three service aces against the Colonels (6-15, 1-5 CCC), who defeated the Bison 25-17, 20-25, 25-16, 25-18. Senior
Moriah Burns was strong defensively with six blocks (three solo) while freshman
Shannon Anthony notched six kills and six digs. Senior
Sabrina Boermeester tallied seven kills and four assists while freshman
Lindsey Rugg handed out 15 assists.

Against the Jays, the Bison won the first set 25-18 behind four kills form Anthony before dropping the next three sets by identical 25-23 scores. Fegan filled the stat sheet with 29 digs and 11 kills while Anthony chipped in with eight kills and five digs and junior
Megan Gardner picked up nine kills.

Three things you need to know...
               -Fegan posted a .278 hitting percentage against the Colonels while Gardner hit .286 against the Bison.
               -Rugg and Gardner combined to post 28 assists against the Jays.
               -Nichols compiled 141 digs on the afternoon.
