The Nichols College women's soccer program lost to the University of New England 5-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Barbara Hazard Field in Biddeford, Maine.
The score was deadlocked at zero until midway through the first half until the Nor'easters (6-6-1, 4-1-0 CCC) ripped home three unanswered goals to take a three-goal lead into the half. UNE juniors Caroline Wilson, Elizabeth Sullivan, and sophomore Peighton Barker were the goal-socrers.
The Bison (3-10-1, 0-6-0 CCC) allowed two more goals in the second half as freshman Erica Dimmick and sophomore Delaney Mullen tallied markers. Nichols ultimately couldn't find an answer for the Nor'easters defense and was shut out for the eighth time.
