Emily Barden scored the game-tying goal midway through the third period to help the Nichols College women's ice hockey program earn a 2-2 tie with Salve Regina University Saturday night in non-conference action at St. George's Rink.

Kelly Ferreira and
Leah Baxendale, along with freshman
Nicole Cowan, each collected assists. Junior netminder
Cassandra Goyette turned aside 31 of the 33 shots she faced as NC outshot the home team 44-22.
Sullivan's second goal of the season came at 10:59 of the second period and tied the game at one. Ferreira and Baxendale were credited with assists on the goal. In the third, Barden scored off a pass from Cowan at 10:34 to tie the game at two. Jackson picked up the second assist on the goal.

Tonight's contest marked 20th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Salve Regina University. The Bison are now 1-0-1 against the Seahawks this season, moving the all-time series to 1-18-2 in favor of SRU.
