DUDLEY, Mass. – Junior Erin Jillson (New Salem, Mass.) scored her first goal of the season in Nichols College's 3-1 loss to the University of New England Friday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) field hockey action at Vendetti Field.
 
Sophomore Brooke Misbach (Guilford, Conn.) turned aside 13 shots as the Bison were outshot 30-4 on the afternoon. UNE – which held a 16-2 edge in penalty corners – received a goal and an assist from senior Vonde Saunders (Center Conway, N.H.).
 
Senior Olivia Madore (Lyman, Mass.) and sophomore Sydney Liptak (Westfield, Mass.) also netted goals for UNE while freshman Liz Sargent (South Burlington, Vt.) made one save to move to 7-3 on the season.
 
All-Time Series
This evening's contest marked the 27th all-time meeting between Nichols College and UNE. The Nor'easters have won the last 10 meetings and lead the series, 18-9.
