PAXTON, Mass. – The Nichols College men's soccer team earned a tie with Anna Maria 2-2 in non-conference action Friday afternoon at AMCat Field.
Graduate student
Ryan Banker (Ashaway, R.I.) and freshman
Justin Perry (Scarborough, Maine) scored the two goals for the Bison.
The AMCats took the 1-0 lead at 24:08 with a goal from sophomore Gift Kalombo (Worcester, Mass.) before the Bison answered back just 20 seconds later to even the score.
Nichols took its first lead of the game at 71:47 when Perry scored his first-collegiate goal on an assist from junior
William Aldrich (Belchertown, Mass.). Anna Maria would tie things up on a penalty shot from senior Derrick Casey (Worcester, Mass.) at 76:04.
Sophomore
Juan Carlos De La Cruz (Stamford, Conn.) stopped seven shots while freshman Jeffre Donahue (Rockland, Mass.) made 10 saves in the tie.
All-Time Series
The tie breaks the six-game winning streak that the Bison had over the AMCats. Nichols still leads the all-time series at 22-6-2.
