BOSTON, Mass. – The Nichols College women's lacrosse team defeated Wentworth 12-8 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday afternoon at Sweeney Field.

Lindsay O'Connell (Danvers, Mass.) and senior
Brooke Marion (South Hadley, Mass.) each scored four goals and assisted on another to help give head coach
Melissa Rausch her first conference-win as coach of the Bison.

Sophomore Brooke Paradis (Pelham, N.H.) paced the Leopards with four goals while senior Brandie Holland (Lynn, Mass.) added two of her own.

The Bison jumped out to a 9-4 lead after the first half with junior
Allison Bench (Windham, N.H.) scoring her sixth goal of the season with 12:21 to go to cap the scoring for Nichols.

The Leopards outscored the Bison 4-3 in the second half and outshot the Bison 31-26 for the game but it wasn't enough.

Sophomore
Kirsten Sullivan (Arlington, Mass.) finished the game with a goal and a pair of assists while the Bison also saw goals from junior
Melissa LaFleur (Chicopee, Mass.) and senior
Reilly Flaherty (Bellingham, Mass.).

Freshman
Emily Eagan (Hingham, Mass.) started the game and made two saves through 16:29 of action before giving way to freshman
Molly Steen (Stevensville, Md.) who stopped nine shots through the remainder of the game. Junior Haley Sabino (Topsfield, Mass.) made 10 saves in the loss.
