Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) potted five goals in Nichols College's season-opening 13-9 win over Rivier College Wednesday night in non-conference men's lacrosse action.

Mackenzie Martin (Merrimack, N.H.) collected three goals and graduate student
Reece O'Connor (North Grafton, Mass.) notched a goal and two assists for the Bison, who were outshot 42-39. Freshman
Cole Fontana (Grafton, Mass.) notched a goal and an assist for Nichols.
Sophomore Colby Larson (Windham, N.H.) scored three times for the Raiders while classmate Eric Guinasso (Pelham, N.H.) registered three points (1-2-3). Sophomore Matt Cloutman (Peabody, Mass.) recorded six saves.

Brian McKinley (Nashua, N.H.) turned aside 14 shots to earn the victory. Sikich and senior
Sean Gannon (Tolland, Conn.) led the Bison with five ground balls each.

This evening's contest marked the fourth all-time meeting between Nichols and Rivier. The win snaps the Bison's two-game losing skid to even the series at two.
