NAPLES, Fla. - The Nichols College softball team was defeated by Centenary (NJ) 7-5 Wednesday morning at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in non-conference action at North Collier State Park.

Junior Kendall Meehan (Danvers, Mass.) and sophomore Zoe Chevrette (Wilbraham, Mass.) each drove in two runs for the Bison (5-4) while freshman Cara Mayhew (Brooklyn, Conn.) collected an RBI. Meehan took the loss in the circle, allowing eight hits and six runs (four earned) in four innings. She walked one and struck out one.

Nichols committed three errors.
