HARRISVILLE, R.I. – The Nichols College men's ice hockey team saw its season come to an end with a 6-3 loss to the University of New England Wednesday night in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals at Levy Rink.

Freshman
Vincent Crivello (Rosemere, Quebec) scored his sixth goal of the season on a penalty shot in the third period while senior captain
Michael Parnell (Roseville, Minn.) and freshman
David Chevrier (Bale-d'Urfe, Quebec) also potted goals for the Bison, who end their season 15-7-5. The Bison outshot the Nor'easters 32-27 and went 1-for-5 on the power play.

Sophomore Dylan Bengtson (Coral Springs, Fla.) collected a goal and two assists for UNE while
senior Trever Fleurent (Biddeford, Maine) and Tucker Ross (Ashburn, Va.) each recorded a goal and an assist. Sophomore Armand Uomoleale (Westport, Conn.) netted two goals for the Nor'easters, who scored three first-period goals and never looked back.

Fleurent opened the scoring at 5:04 when he one-timed a pass from freshman Ryan Bloom (Northville, Mich.) past junior netminder
Colin Brennan (Chester, N.J.). Less than four minutes later, sophomore Brady Fleurent (Biddeford, Maine) stole the puck along the right wing boards and fed Bengtson in the slot, and he beat Brennan with a quick wrist shot at 8:19.

The Nor'easters extended their lead to 3-0 with 35 seconds left in the first period with a power-play goal from Ross. They scored the lone goal in the second period when Uomoleale beat Brennan on a breakaway following an outlet pass from Ross from his own end.

In the third, goals by junior Christian Rossetti (Marblehead, Mass.) at 4:17 and an empty-netter by Uomoleale at 8:56 made it a 6-0 contest. Crivello broke the shutout with a goal at 11:36, beating freshman netminder Payton Porter (Houlton, Maine) with a backhand deke through the legs at 11:36. Parnell one-timed a pass through Porter from in close just over two minutes later before Chevrier's first collegiate goal with 18 seconds remaining sealed the win.

Porter made 29 saves to move to 5-0-0 on the season. Brennan stopped 15 shots before being lifted for graduate student
