HARRISVILLE, R.I. – Sophomore
J.B. Baker recorded his first collegiate hat trick to propel the Nichols College men's ice hockey team to a 5-4 win over Curry College in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Levy Rink.

Scott Cuthrell dished out three helpers for the Bison (7-5-2, 5-3-2 CCC). Freshman netminder
Henry Burns turned aside 23 shots to move to 3-2-0 on the season.
Seniors Jarrett Kup and Shane Tracy, along with freshmen Brandon Zajicek and Tristan Moran, each scored once for the Colonels (6-5-1, 5-4-1 CCC), who outshot the Bison 27-20 and went 1-for-5 on the power play.
Baker scored twice in a span of 4:53 to give the Bison a 3-2 lead early in the third period. After the Colonels tied the game at three on Morin's first collegiate goal at 7:11 of the third, Baker banged in a pass from Cuthrell to make it 4-3. Later in the frame, Crivello netted his sixth goal of the campaign on a breakaway to push the lead to 5-3.
Freshman Frank Cundiff made 15 saves to fall to 5-5-1.
All-Time Series
Tonight's contest marked the 76th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Curry College. With the win, the Bison snapped a two-game losing skid but still trail the series, 28-46-2.
