BOSTON, Mass. – Senior
Colin Brennan turned aside all 28 shot he faced to backstop the Nichols College men's ice hockey team to a 3-0 win at Suffolk Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Rink.
Sophomore
J.B. Baker collected a goal and an assist and sophomore
Vincent Crivello picked up two assists in his first game of the season. Sophomore
Luke Andracki potted his first collegiate goal in the win while junior d-man
T.J. Roche netted his first of the season.
Andracki's marker at 10:12 of the first was assisted by juniors
Evan Schwartz and
Ian Spencer. The Bison doubled their lead in the second as Roche scored off a pass from Baker, who scored his first goal of the season late in the third to seal the win. Crivello was credited with the secondary assist on the final two NC goals while freshman
Filip Virgili notched his first collegiate point on the third goal.
Nichols outshot the Rams 30-28 and each team went scoreless on four chances with the extra man.
All-Time Series
Tonight's contest marked the 48th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Suffolk University. The Bison are now 3-0-1 in their last four against the Rams, but still trail the series 25-19-4.
