NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Nichols College senior Lauren MacGray (Norton, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal in the 76th minute to lead the Bison past MCLA, 1-0, on Monday night in non-conference play in North Adams, Mass.
 
MacGray headed home a pass on the back post off the foot of classmate Deandra Flynn (Pawtucket, R.I.) for the only offense in the game.
 
Junior goalie Brooke Downey (Middleboro, Mass.) stopped three shots in her fifth win of the season.
 
The Bison held a 10-7 edge in shots in the game as well as a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.
 
Junior Katie Mancini (Bellingham, Mass.), senior Britt Whitford (Schaghticoke, N.Y.), and freshman Caitlyn Maloney (Troy, N.Y.) led the Trailblazers offense with two shots apiece. Sophomore goalie Megan Richardson (Adams, Mass.) also stopped three shots for the home team.

Tonight was the fifth meeting between the two squads and Nichols holds a 4-1 advantage in the series.
