Erin Kelley (Dighton, Mass.) recorded a goal and an assist for the Nichols College field hockey team, which was defeated by Simmons College 7-3 in non-conference action Thursday night at Daly Field.

Taylor Ward (Tewksbury, Mass.) scored her first collegiate goal as the Bison suffered their third-straight defeat. Freshman

Junior Julie Saltamartini (East Hampstead, N.H.) scored four goals while classmate Sammy Rondeau (Franklin, Mass.) collected two goals and two assists for the Sharks. Simmons outshot the Bison 27-10 – including 20-5 in the second half, when it outscored the Bison 6-2 – and held a 12-6 edge in penalty corners.

Tonight's contest marked the 23rd all-time meeting between Nichols College and Simmons College. The Sharks have won the last two meetings but still trail the series, 16-6-1.
