Today's game marked the 21st all-time meeting between Nichols College and Gordon College. The Fighting Scots have won the last 13 meetings and now lead the series, 19-2.
 
Quick Synopsis
Junior Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and sophomore MacKenzie Martin (Merrimack, N.H.) each recorded three points in Nichols College's 11-10 overtime loss at Gordon College Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Brigham Complex.
 
Senior Reece O'Connor (North Grafton, Mass.) and freshman Brad Howell (Walden, N.Y.) each scored two goals for the Bison, who lost their fourth overtime game of the season. Senior Roger Evans (Oxford, Pa.) potted a game-high eight goals for the Fighting Scots while sophomore Nico Manganiello (Peabody, Mass.) recorded three points on two goals and an assist.
 
The Bison led 10-8 with 1:34 remaining in the fourth before a man-up goal by Manganiello with 40 seconds left brought Gordon to within one at 10-9. Evans seventh of the game with 18 ticks on the clock sent the game to overtime, where he won it with 1:53 left.
 
Inside the Game
-The Fighting Scots outshot the Bison 45-33 – including 4-0 in the fourth quarter.
-Neither school held a lead larger than two goals. Gordon scored the first two goals of the game while Nichols held a two-goal lead in the fourth.
 
On the Bison
-Sikich led the team with nine shots and also collected a team-high six ground balls.
-Freshman Brian McKinley (Nashua, N.H.) made 10 saves in defeat.
-Freshman Casey Campanale (Shrewsbury, Mass.) registered a goal and an assist.
-Senior Darby Geno (White River Junction, Vt.) caused three turnovers to lead the team.
 
About the Opponent
-Senior Jake Martin (Watertown, Conn.) collected three points (1-2-3).
-Freshman Chris Thanopoulos (Montreal, Quebec) racked up a team-high five ground balls.
-Senior Cody Greenwald (Albany, N.Y.) made 10 saves to earn the win.
