The win snaps a two-game winning streak the Bison had over the Pioneers and now Smith leads the all-time series at 3-2.

The Nichols College women's lacrosse team fell to Smith College 8-4 Tuesday evening in non-conference action at the Smith Turf Field. The Pioneers jumped out to a 5-0 lead through the first 10-plus minutes of action before the Bison finally scored a goal at 13:13 of the first half.

- Nichols had more clears (12-9) and less turnovers than Smith (17-13) but lost the draw control battle 12-2 for the game – including 8-1 in the first half.  
- Nichols senior captain Alexa Smith (Salem, N.H.) and junior Lindsay O'Connell (Danvers, Mass.) scored the other two goals for the Bison while Smith also tallied one assist for the game.
