FORT MYERS, Fla. - Sophomores
Nick Roy and
Greg Eng each drove in two runs to help the Nichols College baseball team secure a 10-7 win over Plymouth State University in non-conference action Saturday at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic.
The Bison trailed 6-0 through six innings before scoring 10 runs over the final three frames to take the win. Junior
Matt Hardy (North Attleboro, Mass.) went 3-for-5 with three runs scored an an RBI as the Bison closed their spring trip 5-7.Â
Sophomore
Cam Cook (Phoenxivlle, Pa.) finished the game with a pair of hits - finishing the spring break trip with a team-high 19 hits - Â while also scoring two runs and driving in another.Â
Freshman
Cam Beaulieu (Newburyport, Mass.) earned his first collegiate victory after picking up the last two outs of the seventh inning before the Bison scored six runs to take the lead in the eighth inning. Sophomore
Kevin Kirley (Clinton, Mass.) picked up his third save of the year after tossing another scoreless inning to close out the game.
The Bison are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to take on WPI at 3:30 p.m. in Worcester, Massachusetts.
