Today's contest marked the 44th all-time meeting between Nichols and Western New England. The Golden Bears have won seven of the last nine meetings and now lead the series, 26-18.

1) Nichols freshman Amy Assad (Milton, Mass.) – recorded a double-double and led the Bison in both points (16) and rebounds (11)
2) Western New England senior Chelsea Vujs (Berlin, Conn.) – tallied 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals
3) Western New England junior Emily Anderson (Rocky Hill, Conn.) – scored 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting (57 percent) in 20 minutes

Vujs and Anderson were two of three Western New England student-athletes in double figures as the Golden Bears completed a season sweep of the Bison with a 73-48 win in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon. Assad recorded her first collegiate double-double to pace Nichols.

Turning Point
After Nichols junior Taylor Daniels (Dudley, Mass.) opened the second half scoring with a three-pointer to bring it to within 14 points (36-22), the Golden Bears ripped off 27-12 run to open up a 29-point lead (63-34) with 2:44 to go in the third quarter. Vujs and junior Sammie Battani (Leominster, Mass.) each scored six points in the frame.

-Nichols senior Jessica Kelliher (Marshfield, Mass.) filled the score sheet with seven points, eight rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 37 minutes. Daniels, meanwhile, finished with eight points.
