Brooke Packard (Dudley, Mass.) scored 15 points in Nichols College's 61-46 loss to Clark (MA) University Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's basketball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Brittany Donovan (Newport, R.I.) collected five points, eight rebounds, and two steals while classmate
Taylor Daniels (Dudley, Mass.) netted 11 points (5-of-21 FG) and also notched five rebounds and three steals. The Bison shot 25 percent (16-of-63).

Junior Sam O'Gara (Worcester, Mass.) led all student-athletes with 24 points (10-of-13 FT) for the Cougars. Sophomore Ogechi Ezemma (Hope Valley, R.I.) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds in 29 minutes. Clark held a 28-16 edge on the glass.

The Cougars held a 28-19 lead at the half behind 12 points from O'Gara and eight points from senior Aretha Sullivan (Worcester, Mass.). Packard knocked down three 3-pointers and led the Bison in the first half with 11 points. The two schools combined for 26 turnovers in the first 20 minutes.

Clark extended its lead to 47-34 after three before forcing six turnovers in the final stanza to secure the victory. The two schools combined for 52 turnovers (Clark – 27, Nichols – 25).

Tonight's contest marked the ninth all-time meeting between Clark (MA) University and Nichols College. The win gives the Cougars a 7-2 lead in the series.
