DUDLEY, Mass. – Freshman
Brooke Misbach (Guilford, Conn.) made 24 saves for the Nichols College field hockey team, which closed its season with a 6-0 loss to first-place UNE in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Friday night at Vendetti Field.

Prior to the contest, the Bison honored seniors
Katherine Cotton (Kennebunk, Maine),
Brooke Marion (South Hadley, Mass.),
Taylor Shippee (Shelburne Falls, Mass.), and
Jacqueline O'Connor (Palmer, Mass.). Marion, along with junior
Emily Manoogian (Worcester, Mass.) and freshman
MacKenzie McDonald (Pembroke, Mass.), were each credited with a defensive save in tonight's contest.

Junior Becky Zakorchemny (Gilford, N.H.) scored a pair of goals for the Nor'easters while juniors Alex Staples (Alfred, Maine) and Olivia Madore (Lyman, Maine), along with freshman Bridiget Cavanaugh (Friendship, Md.), also registered a goal. UNE - which is ranked No. 2 in this week's NCAA New England East Region poll - outshot the Bison 43-2 and held a 19-0 edge in penalty corners.

Tonight's contest marked the 26th all-time meeting between Nichols College and UNE. The Nor'easters have won the last nine contests and lead the series, 17-9.
