BEVERLY, Mass. – Freshman 
J'ena Baker (Rockledge, Fla.) threw down 10 kills in Nichols College's 3-0 loss at Endicott College Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.
 
Sophomore 
Sabrina Boermeester (Billerica, Mass.) added six for the Bison, who lost game one 25-13, game two 25-21, and game three 25-20. Freshman 
Megan Gardner (South Deerfield, Mass.) handed out 20 assists, freshman 
Jayla Simmons (Rockledge, Fla.) notched 15 digs, and senior 
Monica Pucko (Gardner, Mass.) tallied three blocks.
 
Freshman Alex Dippel (Fallston, Md.) and sophomore Emma Mancini (Lynnfield, Mass.) combined for 18 of Endicott's 37 kills. Mancini recorded seven kills on 12 error-free swings to hit a match-high .583. Dippel led all players with 11 kills and chipped in five digs in the effort. Setters Mareena Clotfelter (Poulsbo, Wash.), Emma Jutras (Cranston, R.I.) and Staci Sonke (Bishop, Calif.) combined for 29 of the team's 35 assists in the match. Liberos Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) and Mackenzie Kennedy (Andover, Mass.) finished with nine and 10 digs, respectively.
 
Baker had four kills in the first set while Simmons collected six digs. Baker and Boermeester combined for eight kills in the second set while Gardner dished out 11 assists. In the third set, Baker and Simmons each picked up four digs.
 
All-Time Series
Tonight's match marked the first-ever meeting between Nichols College and Endicott College. The Gulls now lead the series, 1-0.
