NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Sophomore Sabrina Boermeetser (Billerica, Mass.) and freshman Megan Gardner (South Deerfield, Mass.) each put down five kills in Nichols College's 3-0 loss at UMass Dartmouth Tuesday night in non-conference volleyball action.
 
Freshman J'ena Baker (Rocklegde, Fla.) led the Bison with nine kills to go with eight digs. Gardner dished out 20 helpers, freshman Jayla Simmons (Rockledge, Fla.) dug 12 balls, and senior Monica Pucko (Gardner, Mass.) and freshman Lexxus Andrews (Uxbridge, Mass.) each tallied three kills.
 
Freshman Talia Robinson (Norwalk, Conn.) led the Corsairs with nine kills while freshman Anita Sengara (Vancouver, B.C.) picked up seven to go along with 15 digs. Senior Christina Spinazola (Medway, Mass.) racked up 26 assists.
 
UMass Dartmouth won game one 25-13, game two 25-18, and game three 25-24. Boermeester and Pucko each had three kills in the final set while Gardner set up nine points.

Tonight's contest marked the first-ever meeting between Nichols College and UMass Dartmouth. The Corsairs now lead the series, 1-0.
