All-Time Series & Streaks
After falling to the Pilgrims 3-1 in November, the Bison have now won three of the last four meetings with their conference-rival. NEC leads the all-time series at, 9-3-0.

Three Stars of the Game
1 – Sophomore Lindsay O'Connell (Danvers, Mass.) (Nichols) – stopped 30 shots on her way to her second career shutout.
2 – Senior Erin Dice (Ashburn, Va.) (Nichols) – scored the lone-goal of the game at 6:01 of the first period. She finished with three shots for the game.
3 – Freshman Lindsey Powers (Stittsville, Ontario) (NEC) – made 22 saves including 21 over the first two frames.

Key Stat of the Game
Dice tallied her first-career game-winning goal early in the first period. The Bison finished the game with 23 shots on goal after coming into the game averaging only 15.

Quick Hits
- The win marks the first win within the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) for the Bison.
- Dice gained the blue line off of a loose puck and fired a wrist shot through a pair of defenders that found its way over the blocker of Powers and into the net at 6:01 of the first period.
- The Pilgrims had their opportunities but none more than in the third period when they outshot the Bison 13-1. The best scoring chance for NEC came with just under seven minutes remaining in the game when senior Andrea St. Onge (Garden Grove, Calif.) fired a shot that was blocked by junior Samantha DiReda (Shrewsbury, Mass.). The puck trickled to the right of the net where freshman Alexa Scribner (Falmouth, Mass.) wristed a shot that was saved by O'Connell. Junior Alexis Severance (Seekonk, Mass.) then had an open shot which she one-timed only to have O'Connell slide in to make the glove save.
- DiReda provided a game-high five shots while sophomore Laura Christie (Hudson, Mass.) had four.
- Sophomore Amanda McGoldrick (Natick, Mass.), senior Morgan Braniff (Tustin, Calif.), and junior Tori Polehonka (Chino, Calif.) each tallied four shots to pace the Pilgrims.

Quotes
"It is always nice to come away with a conference win. We are going through a stretch-run here over the next five games or so that it feels good to go ahead and get that first conference-win off our back." – Nichols head coach Wil Brown
"She (Dice) had a couple opportunities to clear the puck and she didn't get it out of the zone but then she came down, the defense sagged and she put the puck on net and good things happened. When she came back to the bench I let her know that if she ever wants to keep me quiet from getting onto you for not clearing the puck to just score a goal." – Brown, on what led to Dice's goal
"Lindsay is playing solid, solid hockey. She is squaring herself up to everything and really could have had a shutout last weekend as well. Lindsay has a confidence in net and is helping the team play with more confidence around her." Brown, on the play of O'Connell
"Lindsey Powers is going to have a very successful career. We will continue to have tough matchups throughout the next four years against NEC because of Powers. She stops everything she sees. She is definitely someone to watch out for in terms of Freshman of the Year within our conference." – Brown, on the play of Lindsey Powers
