The win for the Nor'easters is their first against the Bison in the four-game history between the teams. The Bison were 3-0 against UNE dating back to 2012.

Quick Hits
- The game remained scoreless through two periods despite UNE outshooting Nichols 18-3 in the second period.
- Crugnale put the Nor'easters up 1-0 at 1:51 of the third period when she potted her fifth goal of the season – giving her a team-leading 14 points on the year.
- Senior captain Julia Mastrototaro (Holden, Mass.) evened the score at 8:39 with her first goal of the season. The goal was the first for Mastrotaro since scoring the first goal of the game in the ECAC East Quarterfinal against Salve Regina last season.
- UNE capitalized early in the overtime period when Boudreau was able to best O'Connell at 1:49. Junior Mary Wirth (South Elgin, Ill.) and senior Marissa Clifford-Biederman (Lee, N.H.) were credited with assists on the play.
- Mastrototaro paced the Bison with four shots while freshman Olivia Knight (Walpole, Mass.) had three.
- Junior Shannon Smith (Naperville, Ill.) and sophomore Annie Mullen (Concord, N.H.) led the Nor'easters with a game-high seven shots each.
- O'Connell made over 40 saves for the seventh time this season – she is 1-6-0 in those games, with the only win coming at Endicott on Jan. 8.
- Junior Sydney Helmbrecht (Grand Rapids, Minn.) stopped 19 shots in the win.
