Quick Synopsis
Selep scored two goals and Capozza added a goal and an assist as the Rams knocked off first-place Nichols by a 5-2 score Saturday night in Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast action at Levy Rink. Senior Tyler Beasley (Indianapolis, Ind.) and sophomore Chris Deming (Madison, Ala.) scored for the Bison.

Nichols held a 34-19 edge in shots – including a 28-12 advantage over the final 40 minutes.
 
Turning Point
Trailing 2-0 late in the second period, Deming beat Smolarek short-side for his second goal of the season to cut the Nichols deficit to 2-1. Seconds after the ensuing face-off, sophomore Gaven LaValley (Newburyport, Mass.) was sent off for hooking, and Selep potted his second of the evening 55 seconds after Deming's marker to make it 3-1.

-Senior Alex Larson (Madison, Ala.) allowed four goals on 18 shots to drop his record to 10-5-0.
