Quote(s):
"That was a challenging opening game for us and we knew it would be. I had six freshmen and sophomores on the field tonight, which gave us a very young team playing an experienced Mount Holyoke squad. Ariana went into the game after not having played more than a half of field hockey in her career and stepped up. I was happy to see that. We have a great little team that is very coachable. We have a long way to go, but I saw a lot of promising things tonight." – Nichols head coach Kristan Mallet

"This was a very tough game. They're a very tough team that has a little bit more skill than we do. As a returning senior, this was one of the better feelings I've had on the field in the last 20 or so games. We worked well together, not only for ourselves but together as a whole. It felt really good." Senior Victoria Utter
