McKenzie Martin (Merrimack, N.H.) scored three goals in Nichols College's 13-6 loss at Salve Regina University Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's lacrosse action at Gaudet Field.

Joshua Ferreira (Granby, N.H.) picked up a pair of assists for the Bison, who slipped to 4-4 on the season (0-2 CCC). Senior

Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) also found the back of the net for Nichols.
Salve Regina led 6-0 at halftime behind three goals from junior Sharp Jones (Scituate, Mass.). Nichols opened the second half with goals from Sikich and Verville to make it 6-2 before four-straight SRU goals increased the Bison's deficit to seven (10-3). Martin struck twice in the fourth while Bane potted his 25th.
Jones finished with four goals while sophomore Eric Backus (Mansfield Mass.) notched four points (2-2-4). Freshman Matt D'Amore (Duxbury, Mass.) recorded 11 saves to earn the win. Sikich led Nichols – which was successful on 33 of their 35 clearing attempts – with four ground balls.
Nichols hosts Curry Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Seahawks (3-3, 2-1 CCC) hosts Roger Williams Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
