ORLANDO, Fla. – Senior
Erica Antonison (Albertson, N.Y.) scored a goal as the Nichols College women's lacrosse team fell 20-1 to No. 13 SUNY Geneseo at the Wild World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.
Antonison scored her third goal of the season at 13:38 of the first half as she was able to best junior goaltender Claudia Coleates (Stanley, N.Y.). Senior
Grace Murphy (Montclair, Va.) earned an assist on the goal.
The Knights (2-0) were led by junior Tara Basile (Wantagh, N.Y.) with four points (3-1-4) while six other student athletes had two goals.
Sophomore
Katherine Cotton (Kennebunk, Maine) took the loss after stopping 12 shots. Freshman
Jacqueline Hogue (North Grafton, Mass.) came on in relief of Cotton and picked up one save while allowing one goal. Coleates earned the win after stopping two shots in the first half. Senior Laura Passamonte (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) played the entire second half and made one save.
The Bison (1-1) play FDU-Florham Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. The Knights play the University of New England Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
