DUDLEY, Mass. – Junior
Anthony Verville (Portland, Maine) picked up two goals and an assist in Nichols College's 11-8 win over Salem State Tuesday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Vendetti Field.

Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and
Matt Feigenblat (Shelton, Conn.) each potted two goals to help the Bison move to 2-1 for the second-straight season.
Senior Andy Rice (Weymouth, Mass.) paced the Vikings (0-2) with four goals while junior Zach Brown (Peabody, Mass.) added a pair. Salem State is now 4-2 all-time against the Bison.
Nichols led 3-0 after one behind goals from Hancock, Bane, and Verville. Sikich's third of the season at 13:50 of the second quarter made it 4-0 before Rice netted goals at 10:25 and 6:59, respectively, cut the Salem State deficit in half.
The Bison responded by scoring three-straight to grab a 7-2 lead as Feigenblat, Sikich, and Bane each beat senior goalie Dylan Svenson (Billerica, Mass.). Brown's fourth of the season with 10 seconds left in the half brought the halftime score 7-3. The Vikings outshot Nichols 22-17 in the first half.
Each school scored three goals in the third to send the game to the fourth with the Bison up 10-6. Freshman
MacKenzie Martin (Merrimack, N.H.) scored his second of the season at 7:07 before Brown and Rice scored their fifth markers of 2015 late in the stanza to close the scoring.

James Keane (Franklin, Mass.) turned aside 17 shots to earn his second career win. Svenson, meanwhile, made 10 saves to fall to 0-2. Sikich led all student-athletes with six ground balls. Senior Ian Abrahamson (Billerica, Mass.) caused a game-high four turnovers.
The Bison host UMass Boston Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Salem State heads to Daniel Webster Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
