1) Nichols senior Irving Eggleston (East Lyme, Conn.) – scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting; also notched six rebounds, two assists, and one steal
2) Nichols senior Gustave Koumare (Harlem, N.Y.) – filled the stat sheet with 15 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal
3) Nichols junior Nate Tardy (Moodus, Conn.) – made all four field goal attempts and finished with 11 points and four rebounds in 13 minutes

Eggleston scored 16 first-half points as the Bison built a 19-point halftime lead and rolled to a 101-55 win at Framingham State in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. The senior captain was one of five Nichols student-athletes in double-figures in scoring, along with Koumare, junior Brandon Marshall (Hartford, Conn.), freshman Marcos Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.), and Tardy.

The Bison turned 28 points into 39 points and also held a 52-20 edge in points in the paint.
 
Turning Point
With the game tied at 15 in the first half, the Bison ripped off a 14-0 run to move in front 29-15 with 6:28 on the clock. Koumare then opened the second half scoring with a triple that gave the Bison a 20-point lead they held the remainder of the contest.
 
Quick Hits
-Marshall and Echevarria each finished with 12 points for Nichols.
-The Bison turned the ball over just 10 times and made 53 percent of their shots (39-of-74). Framingham State, meanwhile, shot 38 percent (20-of-53).
-Echevarria led the Bison with five assists while he and freshman Rachone Preston (Enfield, Conn.) each recorded four steals. Preston finished with eight points, four rebounds, four steals, and three assists.
-Junior Tim Mangano (Winchester, Mass.) and sophomore Tony Alexandra (Hyde Park, Mass.) each scored eight points to lead Framingham State.
