Quick Hits- Sophomore Christine Harris (Mountain Top, Pa.) got the scoring started just 2:37 into the first period when she was able to beat sophomore
Lindsay O'Connell (Danvers, Mass.). Sophomore Brooke Krantz (Pendicton, B.C.) received credit for the assist.
- The Bengals extended their lead to 2-0 at 9:14 of the second period when sophomore Maddie Toczek (Pendleton, N.Y.) fed a pass into the slot to Kirchberger who fired a shot off the chest of O'Connell. Gehen was able to clean up the trash while falling to the ice and put the puck into the back of the net.
- Kirchberger added a goal of her own less than two minutes later and was assisted by Gehen and Toczek.
- The Bison potted their first goal at 15:06 of the second period when senior captain
Samantha Mead (Hazen, N.D.) took a pass at the point from freshman
Kelly Ferreira (North Falmouth, Mass.) and wristed a shot over the glove of sophomore Megan Sackett (Williamsville, N.Y.). Junior
Samantha DiReda (Shrewsbury, Mass.) received the second helper on the play.
- Freshman Hannah Desjarlais (Cold Lake, Alberta) scored her first collegiate goal in the third period and Gehen added two short-handed goals in the third period to round out the scoring for the Bengals.
- Knight scored her first collegiate goal – and the second power play goal of the game for the Bison – at 13:04 of the third period. She was assisted on the play by senior captain
Alexa Smith (Salem, N.H.) and sophomore
Ariana Dembro (Saugus, Mass.).
- O'Connell took the loss after allowing five goals and stopping 41 shots through the first 52:21 before freshman
Cassandra Goyette (Norton, Mass.) finished the rest of the game and allowed one goal while making four saves.
- Sackett made 17 saves in the win for the Bengals.
