WINCHENDON, Mass. - Senior Lisa Coskren (Norwood, Mass.) scored her third goal of the season in Nichols College's 5-1 loss at Franklin Pierce University Saturday night at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena.

Trailing 3-0 midway through the second period, the Bison got on the board when senior Alyssa Bufis (Linden, N.J.) took a shot from the right point that got blocked by the defense. Senior captain Taylor Brown (Winthrop, Mass.) rebounded the shot and had her own shot blocked by the defense, which Coskren ultimately jammed home to cut the deficit to two goals.

The Ravens were led by junior Sarah Sheils (Pittsburgh, Pa.) with a hat trick, including the eventual game-winner in the early goings of the second period. Junior Bryana Harron (Woburn, Mass.) added two assists for Franklin Pierce, who move to 13-2-1 on the season.

Brown paced the Bison with six shots while senior captain Grace Murphy (Montclair, Va.) had five.

Freshman Lindsay O'Connell (Danvers, Mass.) stopped 33 shots but falls to 1-4 on the campaign. Sophomore Shannon O'Neil (Tewksbury, Mass.) improves to 5-2-1 after tallying 27 saves.

The Bison host Amherst on Tuesday at 8:10 p.m. for their first home game of 2015. The Ravens travel to take on Saint Michael's Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
