Francesco Posillico (Massapequa, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal midway through the second period to lift the Nichols College men's ice hockey team to a 3-1 win at Morrisville State Friday night in non-conference action at the IcePlex.

Sean Swansen (Salem, N.H.) also scored for the Bison, who are off to their best start at 11-2-2 since the 2008-09 campaign, when they opened 14-1-0. Junior goaltender

Senior Matthew Beer (Corunna, Ontario) staked the Mustangs to a 1-0 lead with a PP goal just 3:36 into the first. Prescott evened the game at one at 16:24 on the power play with assists going to juniors
Frank Butler (East Haven, N.J.) and
Tyler Beasley (Indianapolis, Ind.).
Posillico's second of the season at 9:34 of the second proved to be the game winner. Freshman

Joe Sposit (Cleveland, Ohio) were credited with assists on the goal. Swansen's seventh of the season 2:54 into the third closed the scoring. Junior

Nichols outshot the Mustangs 36-33. Freshman Steven Dombrowsky (Elizabethtown, Pa.) registered 33 saves in defeat for Morrisville State.
Nichols plays at Hobart Saturday at 7:30 p.m. while the Mustangs (4-7-5) play a pair at Brockport beginning next Friday at 7 p.m.
