Robert Ricci (Chelmsford, Mass.) scored his first collegiate touchdown on a fumble recovering in the endzone in the fourth quarter.
The Golden Bears (8-2, 5-2 NEFC) outgained the Bison 463-257. Senior Kevin Cooke (Hamburg, N.J.) racked up 158 yards on the ground and one score while freshman Dante Aiken (Brooklyn, N.Y.) collected 70 yards and also found the endzone. Senior Tyler Ward (Wyckoff, N.J.), meanwhile, threw for 157 yards and four touchdowns – three to senior Andrew Walz (Groton, Conn.).
The Golden Bears led 14-0 after one and 34-7 at halftime behind four TD passes from Ward. McCourt, meanwhile, got the Bison on the board with a six-yard touchdown pass to senior
Brett Franciosi (Leominster, Mass.). WNE tacked on seven in the third before Ricci's touchdown with 13:36 to go in the fourth closed the scoring.
