Tori Gianformaggio (Huntington Beach, Calif.) stopped 42 shots and classmate
Lisa Coskren (Norwood, Mass.) potted the game-winning goal in the third to lift the Nichols College women's ice hockey team to a 2-1 win over Buffalo State in the Championship game of the PSU Tournament Saturday afternmoon.

Talia Hohmann (Marina, Calif.) also scored to help the Bison improve to 2-0-0 for the first time in program history. Seniors
Grace Murphy (Montclair, Va.),
Samantha Vicari (Wayne, N.J.), and
Alyssa Bufis (Linden, N.J.) picked up asissts. In the process, Murphy moved into sole possession of first-place on the all-time scoring list with 65 points (38-27-65).
Gianformaggio stopped 78 of the 79 shots she faced (.987 save pct.) to earn Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Team honors. Junior
Julia Mastrototaro (Holden, Mass.) was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Bengals (0-1-1) opened the scoring 2:34 into the first on a goal by Kara Goodwin. Nichols knotted the score at one on Hohmann's first of the season. Murphy was credited with the primary helper while Bufis picked up the second apple.
The score remained tied at one until 5:05 of the third when Coskren converted a feed from Vicari into her fist of 2014. Gianformaggio did the rest, stopping all 15 shots she faced in the third as the Bison were outshot 43-20.
Nichols returns to action on November 7 when it heads to Rye, N.Y. for a 3 p.m. contest against Manhattanville.
