Meghan Dombkowski (Sagaponack, N.Y.) collected an assist on the play for the Bison (2-10). Senior Mary-Lee Barboza (Rochester, Mass.) notched a pair of second half assists for the Engineers (8-3).
WPI opened the scoring at 14:54 when sophomore Allie Buckley (Worcester, Mass.) received a quick pass from junior Jena Mazzucco (Danbury, Conn.), who found the back of the cage for her third goal of the season.
After being outshot 8-1 through the opening 18 minutes, the Bison took five of the next six shots and attempted five corners. At 31:41, Dombkowski found Dalrymple with a pass, and she ripped home a shot from the top of the arc to knot the score at the break.
WPI struck for a pair in the opening 7:25 of the second stanza to nab the victory. Barboza got the rally started when she calmly drilled a pass perpendicular to the goal line to Libbi Richarson (Uxbridge, Mass.), who nailed a one-timer from three feet out for her second game-winner in as many contests and 17th career goal at 37:26.
Later, Barboza set up the Engineers insurance goal with a penalty corner insertion to Abby Cervelloni (Charlottesville, Va.). The junior made a stick stop to set up a blast from sophomore Hope Shevchuk (Burlington, Conn.) for her first career goal at 42:25.
