Kasey Pelletier (Dunstable, Mass.) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds in Nichols College's 64-39 win over Lyndon State in non-conference women's basketball action Tuesday night at Stannard Gymnasium.

Junior Emily Gray (Quincy, Mass.) paced the Yellow Jackets (0-6) with 12 points – all of which came in the first half – while sophomore Chelsea Bagley (Wallingford, Conn.) added eight points.
Nichols trailed by one (29-28) at halftime but opened the second stanza on an 18-0 run to grab a commanding 46-29 lead with 12:48 on the clock. Wegrzynek sparked the run with 10 points while Litwinko added four. The lead swelled to 26 on a three-point play by junior
Sarah Whitestone (Dalton, Mass.) with 6:08 to go.
The Bison shot 50 percent from the field in the second half to finish the game at a 45 percent clip. They also outrebounded the Yellow Jackets 47-41 and forced 30 turnovers. After shooting 36 percent in the first half, Lyndon State made just two of its 29 field goal attempts in the second half (seven percent).
Nichols returns to action on Saturday, January 4 with a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest at Salve Regina. Lyndon State plays at New England College Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
