Box Score PAWTUCKET, R.I. (Feb. 15) - Senior
Zach Hendrickson potted the eventual game-winer at 12:49 in the first period to help the Nichols men's hockey team earn a season sweep of Johnson & Wales with a 3-1 triumph on Wednesday night at Lynch Arena.
With the victory, the Bison, on a four game winning streak and eight of the last nine, improve to 11-12-1 on the season and 9-4-0 in ECAC Northeast action as the Wildcats slip to 13-8-3 overall and 7-4-2 in conference play.
The win also gives Nichols the right to host an ECAC Northeast quarterfinal matchup for the first time since the 2008-09 championship season.

Johnson & Wales responded at the 8:14 mark when they capitalized on a power play with junior Jason Pietrasiak connecting in front of the net with assists from sophomore Erick Vos and senior Domenic Recchia.
The Bison regained the lead at the 12:49 mark of the period on a goal by Hendrickson, this time with assists to senior
Andrew Ella and senior
Andrew Letellier.
Nichols capped off the scoring for the period when freshman
Joe Sposit put in passes from sophomore
Robbie Sorrenti and freshman
Tyler Marek to make the score 3-1 after the first period of action.
The two teams battled back and forth in the second stanza with both squads having solid scoring opportunities. Neither could capitalize, however as the teams headed into the locker room after two periods of play with Nichols ahead 3-1. It was more of the same in the third as Nichols held on for the 3-1 win.
Junior Matt Cooper made 31 saves in the loss in net for JWU while senior
Jacob Rinn made 31 stops for Nichols.
Nichols closes out the regular season at Western New England at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
