Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. (Nov. 6) – The Hawks saw goals from three different goal scorers Sunday afternoon as the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team blanked the Bison of Nichols College by a 3-0 margin at the Thomas F. Sullivan Arena.  With the victory, the Hawks improve to 3-0 overall while collecting their second ECAC Women's East victory (2-0).  The loss drops Nichols to 0-1-1 both overall and within the conference.

Tiffany Herron scored her fourth goal of the season at 4:03 of the first period to lift the Hawks to the early 1-0 lead.  Picking the pocket of a Bison defender, Herron skated from the right face-off circle to the goal crease and backhanded a puck past the Nichols goaltender.  Rosemarie Giarrusso and Casey Breese collected the assists on Herron's goal.

Molly Corl picked up her second goal of the season only 31 seconds after Herron's strike to grant Saint Anselm the 2-0 lead.  An aggressive forecheck by Saint Anselm forced a turnover near the blue line.  From the left wing corner, Courtney Winters sent a pass to the slot where a crashing Corl sniped the top right corner of the cage for the goal.

Sabrina Ianetti scored her first career goal at 6:26 of the third period, lifting the Hawks to a 3-0 advantage that they would not relinquish.  Attempting to clear the zone, Ianetti was able to poke-check the puck away from a Bison defender.  Skating toward the goal, Ianetti powered a shot on goal that snuck past Palazzo and into the lower-left hand corner of the cage for the first point of her career.

Zappen (3-0) collected her third victory of the season, stopping all 10 shots on goal.  Francesca Palazzo (0-1-1) drew her first regulation defeat of the season, turning aside 31-of-34 shots on net.

Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play.

Nichols ventures to Sacred Heart on Saturday. Faceoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
